Clang! Clang! Clang! Goes the Trolley!

Let me preface my first entry to this class-dictated form of creativity (and by class-dictated I mean made for a class rather than some sort of bourgeoisie-approved literary creation, which blogs OBVIOUSLY are not) by saying I am not now and never was a supporter of the blog title.

Honestly, I'm sure Adam has told me of its origin, and I am also sure that I was not listening. No blog title could ever make me happy. Because here are the stipulations for a perfect blog title:

1) Incredibly witty or quirky reference to an impossibly obscure and cool source

2) Recognized by everyone for being incredibly witty and quirky from an impossibly obscure and cool source, proving once and for all that the blogger is epitome of heaven

I, well-read and good-looking as I may be, have never been awesome enough to tunnel through avante-garde subcultures discovering the sort of things I would consider possible references for acceptable blog titles.

In essence, the blog title is a kind of junior high popularity contest I play with myself. I am never quite up to the level of the cool blogging kids who smoke in the parking lot, dye their hair and have opinions on things.

But. I have fantasies about sleeping with them.

I would like to finish by saying, I intend to do two things with my time spent here at Hunger and Ridicule:

Firstly: Daily remind Adam how awesome, I, his girlfriend, am, thusly leading to an out-pouring of adoration and verbal praise.

Secondly: Mock (in a delightfully precocious manner) all of Adam's blogging, purely for my own enjoyment.

(Seriously debated ending this post with "Fin" but, fear it would look incredibly pretentious. Like some bloggers. Who blog for this blog.)

I concur with Mallory's understanding of a blog title. Given the opportunity, I myself would have suggested a title along the lines of 'United Students of Scholarly Ridicule', or USSR for short.
ussr.blogspot.com

yeah russian politics. hail professor Hendley.

PS: I am very proud to be an early supporter of this yet another left-leaning student blog still searching for a direction.
